Things to do in Oxford at Half Term – Update!

February 21, 2014 by Milla Leave a Comment

Hurrah – a lovely, sunny day!
Forget all that indoor stuff and hit the wide open spaces!

From the stunning space and views of South Park with a children’s play area and zip wire and even a fitness trail to Hinksey Park where the play area has a challenging climbing tower for older kids as well as toddler climbing strucuture, sand pit, swings, roundabouts and the open grass area is a wonderful spot for a kickabout or game of rounders. There are also two lakes and some lovely walks around the park and beyond towards South Hinksey, through the nearby allotments or the river.

Stuck for things to do? Why not make your own Forest School and see what lessons you can learn in the great outdoors. Go bug-hunting, build a stick tower, play hide and seek or just feed the ducks. For a list of great parks and playgrounds in your area see Mumsnet Oxford’s list here: http://local.mumsnet.com/oxford/parks-playgrounds
