February 17, 2014 by Milla 1 Comment

Well, the February half-term is here and the weather is looking even more unhelpful than usual, so we’ve rounded up a few things to do in Oxford with the kids. As ever, if you know of something happening that we’ve missed then please add it for free here:

Tennis Camp for 3-8 year olds, 17th – 21st Feb
Do you have particularly energetic sprogs? We know a few like that too! This sounds just the ticket.

What they say: “Tennis sessions for 3-5 and 5-8 year olds, helping develop agility, balance and co-ordination!”
What we say: “Exhaust them for a couple of hours in the morning, get a nice, peaceful afternoon!”

Games Galore at the Ashmolean Museum. Tues 19th- Fri 21st Feb 1-4pm

What they say: “play games around the Ashmolean, discovering old and new favourites – from ludo and snakes and ladders, to ‘senet’ and ‘hnefatafl’.”

What we say:” It’s free, inside in the warm and suitable for all ages – sounds like the answer to a half-term prayer!”

Inspired by the Oxford Canal Family Day – Thurs 20th Feb, various times (booking required)
What they say: “Children will have the opportunity to turn shoe boxes into narrow boats and to enter these into the Oxford Canal art competition. With a live demonstration and an opportunity to try your hand at painting, you can find out what life is like on a canal boat and be inspired by beautiful artwork!”

What we say: ” Suitable for 4 year olds to teens, FREE, indoors and it raises awareness of Oxford’s amazing canal? Sounds like a plan!”
